Lourdes Invalid Fund
Thank for your generous contribution to the Lourdes Invalid Fund, taken up last weekend.

Sacristans Collection
The bi-annual collection for our devoted sacristan, Joan Cahill, will be taken up on Sat 28th May in St. Kieran's.
A Sacristans Collection will also be taken up in St. Mary's on Sun 29th May, the proceeds of this will be used for the seasonal decor of St. Mary's.

Confirmation
Congratulations to those that received the Sacrament of Confirmation last Sunday.
Over the coming weeks the children will be preparing to leave National School and begin a new part of their life journey in their chosen Secondary School and we trust that the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to them at their Confirmation will guide them on this journey.
We would like to thank to everyone who contributed to making this a very special day. Special thanks to Fr John Akain, Mill Hill Missionaries, who administered the Sacrament.

Sunday Liturgies when a priest is not available
Next training session for Sunday Lay Led Liturgies with Maureen Kelly, Diocesan Director of Liturgies, will be held on Monday 30th May at 8.30pm in St. Mary's Parochial House.

St. Kieran's PPC Meeting
St. Kieran's PPC will be meeting on Tues 24th May at 9.00pm.

May Devotions
The rosary will be recited every Wed in May at 8pm at St. Kieran's Church, Labasheeda.

St. Mary's Flower Group
A new Flower subgroup has been formed under the co-ordination of Barbara Madigan and Rita Lorrigan. We would like to thank Barbara, Rita and those who have volunteered to be part of this group. The Flower group work regularly behind the scenes to provide flower arrangements that adorn the church and enhance our worship.
If you would like to help in any way with the care and
maintenance of St. Mary's Church and have some time to spare, however short that may be, please contact a member of St. Mary's PPC.

Parish Secretary (CE Scheme)
Applications are sought for the above position. Eligibility to participate on this Scheme is linked to those in receipt of Social Welfare payments for 12 months or more.

Tidy Towns
Judging for the National Tidy Towns competition is scheduled for early June. Labasheeda Tidy Towns would like to thank everyone for helping to keep our Community tidy and litter-free.

Community Games
Well done to Norah Ryan and Julian Linnane, who represented Kilmurry McMahon/Labasheeda Community Games at the recent County swimming finals in Activ Ennis Leisure Complex.

Shannon Gaels GAA Club
Meeting will be held on Mon 23rd May at 8.30pm at the Clubhouse. All members welcome.

Shannon Gaels Ladies GAA Club
Hard luck to Shannon Gaels U16 girls who were defeated in their U16 Final by Wolfe Tones in Clooney/Quin on Tues evening. The girls fought until the very end in what was a very exciting 13 goal thriller but unfortunately it wasn't their day.

Killimer Mothers & Others Gaelic Football
Training will take place on Mon evening at 7.15pm in Killimer pitch. All are welcome, experienced and beginners.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock
The annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock this year will take place on Sun 3rd July, sharing with Ferns as we have in previous years. This year Rev. Des Hillery Killaloe diocese will lead the ceremonies. Ceremonies begin at 2:30 p.m. For bus transport please contact: Noel O'Shea, Kilkee, 087 2550155

in Ennis Cathedral on Wed 25th May at 2.00pm. Fr Tom Hogan, PP will be Chief Celebrant and Homilist.

Information Evening on Drugs & Alcohol Abuse
To be held at the Kilkee Bay Hotel on Wed 25th May at 7.30pm. Presentation by An Garda Siochana & Community Substance Misuse Team. This presentation will be suitable for Teenagers and their parents. Further information from Adriona Meere of Clare Youth Services on 086 0440911.

Diocese of Killaloe Stillness & Mediation Retreat - Nourishing the Divine Life within us
Two days of reflection and quiet prayer/meditation at Mt. St. Joseph's Abbey, Roscrea, 27th and 28th May.

Further Education - Business/IT Training at St John Bosco Community College
An Information morning will be held on Thurs 26th May at 10.30 am at St John Bosco Community College Kildysart for anyone interested in a Business award at QQI Level 5. Estuary Challenge June 2016
Both routes have been extended this year to take in Cappa with its amazing views of the River Shannon! The 105km and 55km routes will take place on Sat 11th June at 10am starting in Labasheeda Village.
