Nell Galvin Traditional Music Weekend 2009

 FRIDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER:

8.30 p.m. Official Opening by Muiris O'Rochain, followed by Music sessions in Garrihy's Bar. There will also be a Ceili with Music by Four Courts Ceili Band.

 SATURDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER:

FREE MUSIC CLASSES:

12 Noon to 2 p.m.  Tin Whistle - Beginners and Improvers - with Karen McInerney

12 Noon to 2 p.m.   Flute - Beginners and Improvers - with Paul Smith

12 Noon to 2 p.m.   Fiddle - Beginners and Improvers - with Vincent Griffin.

2 p.m. to 3 p.m.      Tin Whistle - Advanced - with Des Cafferkey

2 p.m. to 3 p.m.      Concertina - Improvers - with Mairead Considine

4 p.m. to 5 p.m.      Sean Nos Dancing - Beginners - with Mairead Considine.

5.30 p.m.to 6.30p.m.  Set Dancing - Beginners -with Mary Murrihy 

REGISTRATION MUST TAKE PLACE 15 minutes prior to each class.   Classes will take place in Garrihy's Bar and Moyasta School

Music sessions and dancing will continue all evening until late in Garrihy's Bar.

 SUNDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER

9.30 a.m. Mass in Lisdeen Church followed by visit to Nell Galvin's Grave in Lisdeen Cemetery.   2.30 p.m.  Music Sessions and dancing commence in Garrihy's Bar and continue all evening until late. 

 ALL MUSICIANS, SINGERS AND DANCERS WELCOME.
